-"Most '93-accurate attire/accessories"

EVENT RULES

This event will be run exactly as it would have been in October - December of 1993.

Pairings will be based on record, and you will play a best of 3 match each round.

- In round one, you will be randomly paired, with the exception of challenges.

- The Round timer is 40 minutes.

There will be NO ties, if there would be a tie, the judge will be called, and the match will be decided.

Deck Construction:

There are NO sideboards.

Your Deck must consist of 40 cards (No more, No less.) 

from the following sets:

Limited Edition Alpha

Limited Edition Beta

SPECIAL RULINGS:

MULLIGANS

ALL LAND or NO LAND hands may be put back for a 

fresh seven cards. This is the ONLY form of 

mulligan you may take.

The player going first draws a card.

On the play? Draw a card.

MANA BURN 

Is indeed in effect, unspent mana will

deal you 1 damage each.

TAPPED BLOCKERS 

Tapped blockers do NOT deal combat damage.

Chaos Orb 

Chaos orb will be played AS PRINTED. 

Once you cast chaos orb, your opponent may not

re-arrange their board state. Everything must stay as it is,

with the exception of tapping (in place).

Volcanic Island

Is the only Dual Land that is completely unrestricted.

(All other duals are limited to 1 of each.)

 PROTECTION:

Example: Black Knight

-Wrath of God does not kill it.

-Balance counts it, but DOES NOT sacrifice it.

-COP black does not work against it.

Cards will be played AS PRINTED!

All cards are to be played AS IS, if there is a rules discrepancy, you may consult the on-site judge or your Magic: The Gathering (C) rule book (1993 edition).

Example: 

Orcish Artillary: Alpha costs 1R, while Beta costs 1RR.

Orcish Oriflamme: Alpha costs 1R while beta costs 3R.

(The exception being Cyclopian Tomb:

Alpha and Beta each cost 4.)
